Privacy
Who is responsible?
The Mon Club de Plongée website is run by Louis Suter, website creator and president. For any question about your data: [email protected]
What data we store
- When you create an account: last name, first name, email address, date of birth, phone, address, ZIP code and city. The licence number and CMAS level are optional. Your password is stored in an encrypted form that nobody can read back, not even the administrator.
- When you use the site: your sign-ups for dive trips and courses, and the club equipment you choose.
- For running the club: the administrator may also record your certifications, your membership fee and your medical certificate. The medical certificate is health data: it is used only to check that you are fit to dive.
- For security: after a wrong password, the IP address is kept for at most 24 hours to block repeated attempts. "Forgotten password" requests (email address, IP address, date) are also kept for at most 24 hours. The site sends automatic emails through Hostinger's mail service: a link to change your password and an alert when it has been changed.
What it is used for
Only to run the club: sign-ups, organising dive trips and courses, lending equipment. It is never sold or used for advertising.
Who can see it
- The administrator sees all your details.
- Other logged-in members only see your last and first name, and your first name with your last-name initial in the list of participants.
- Visitors who are not logged in only see the number of participants.
Technical providers
The site is hosted by Hostinger on servers located in France. It also runs through Cloudflare, which protects and speeds it up. To do so, Cloudflare processes your IP address, including on servers outside Switzerland.
Cookies
- Login cookie: keeps you logged in; it is deleted when you close the browser.
- "Language" cookie: remembers the chosen language for 1 year.
- Cloudflare may add technical security cookies.
- No advertising or analytics cookies.
How long
As long as you are a member. In "My account", the "Leave the club" button immediately and permanently deletes your account and all your data.
Your rights
- You can change your phone, email and licence yourself in "My account". Your CMAS level and medical certificate are recorded by the administrator, because they are used to check that you can take part in a dive trip safely.
- To view, correct or delete other data, write to us.
- You can also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
