Épave de l'Hirondelle

La Tour-de-Peilz (VD), Lake Geneva

Max. depth 57 m Required level: Three Star Diver (CMAS 3*)

A 52 m paddle steamer that sank on 10 June 1862 after hitting a rock while rounding the Becque de Peilz point. The wreck lies on a slope about 200 m from the shore: the bow at around 41 m, the stern at around 58 m. A deep dive, for very experienced divers only.

Morges - Le Petit Bois

Max. depth 15 m Required level: One Star Diver (CMAS 1*)

Entry near the Petit-Bois water sports base in Morges. A shallow site, suitable for first dives and courses.

Morges - Les Pilotis

Morges (VD), Lake Geneva

Max. depth 6 m Required level: Try dive

The Morges shoreline holds prehistoric pile-dwelling villages (around 1776 to 1600 BC for Les Roseaux), listed as UNESCO World Heritage. These remains are protected: look, but never touch or take anything.

Rivaz - La Minoterie (falaise)

Rivaz (VD), Lavaux, Lake Geneva

Max. depth 40 m Required level: Three Star Diver (CMAS 3*)

Start from Rivaz station: go under the railway tracks, then enter from the beach or the landing stage. After a drop-off, a rocky cliff streaked with crystal veins, with a few overhangs, goes down to 40 m.

Rolle - Île de La Harpe

Rolle (VD), Lake Geneva

Max. depth 10 m Required level: One Star Diver (CMAS 1*)

An artificial island built in 1837, about 70 m from the Rolle shore, 130 m long and about 40 m wide. An obelisk on it honours Frédéric-César de La Harpe. A shallow dive around the island.

Saint-Prex - Parcours d'épaves

Saint-Prex (VD), Lake Geneva

Max. depth 31 m Required level: Two Star Diver (CMAS 2*)

Entry from the small cove to the right of the landing stage. The site has two small wrecks and many submerged objects, offering dives for all levels. On a 170° heading, a sunken sailboat lies at around 23 m; on a 150° heading, a small drop-off starts at around 30 m. Compass navigation recommended.
