Requirements for diving

Medical certificate

Each member gives the club a certificate of fitness to dive issued by a diving doctor, renewed every 2 years, and every year from age 40. The administrator records it in your account.

A restriction (for example "no deeper than 20 m") is taken into account by the administrator when forming the dive groups.

Minimum level

Each site requires a minimum CMAS level. The website refuses the registration if your level is too low, except for a dive supervised by an instructor.

Rules and safety

On the lake

  • During the dive, the blue and white diving flag is raised; boats must stay at least 50 m away.
  • Diving is forbidden in harbours, navigation channels and marked zones.
  • Some sites close for part of the year: the dates are shown on the Dive sites page.
  • Never dive alone: always in a dive group, with a buddy.

In an accident: call 144 (ambulance) or 1414 (Rega) and say "diving accident".

CMAS and PADI certifications

The club trains according to CMAS, but also accepts PADI certifications. These equivalences are approximate: the instructor may ask for a check dive.
